Which formats are supported?
Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, HEIC and TIFF. Videos: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and most other formats ffmpeg can read, saved as MP4. ZIP: any standard ZIP, including AES-encrypted ones if you have the password. FolksLock accepts any file.
How do password-protected downloads work?
Your result is wrapped in a ZIP encrypted with AES-256. Open it with 7-Zip, WinRAR, Keka or The Unarchiver. The built-in Windows and macOS extractors don’t support AES ZIPs.
What’s the difference between a password ZIP and FolksLock?
A password ZIP opens in any ZIP tool that supports AES. A FolksLock .folks file can only be opened on ZipFolks with the key we generate for you.
Is there a size limit?
Yes. Each type of file has a maximum size, which the administrator sets. The current limits are shown under each upload box.
